Graphic Designer
Park Management Company | Myriad Botanical Gardens + Scissortail Park
Are you an emerging graphic designer looking for an opportunity to see your work come to life across some of Oklahoma City’s most recognizable public spaces?
Park Management Company is seeking a Graphic Designer to join our Marketing & Development team and create engaging visual materials for Myriad Botanical Gardens, Scissortail Park, and Park Management Company.
This is an entry-level position ideal for a recent graduate or early-career designer who wants to build experience across a wide range of real-world projects, from social media and digital campaigns to event signage, advertising, publications, fundraising materials, and major seasonal events.
Reporting to the Chief Marketing & Development Officer, you'll work within established brand standards and creative direction while having opportunities to contribute ideas, develop your skills, and build a diverse portfolio of highly visible work.
What You'll Do
- Design print and digital materials including social graphics, ads, flyers, posters, signage, invitations, brochures, fundraising materials, and event collateral.
- Create visual content for websites, email marketing, social media, and digital campaigns.
- Support the design and production of The Bridge magazine and other organizational publications.
- Develop creative materials for major events and programs at Myriad Botanical Gardens and Scissortail Park.
- Adapt campaign creative and existing designs for multiple formats and platforms.
- Prepare production-ready files and work with printers and other vendors.
- Maintain organized design files, templates, photography, logos, and creative assets.
- Collaborate with Marketing & Development and other teams across the organization.
- Assist onsite with seasonal events and major programs as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent education, training, or demonstrated experience may be considered.
- Recent graduates and early-career designers are encouraged to apply.
- A portfolio demonstrating strong graphic design fundamentals.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Understanding of typography, layout, hierarchy, color, and composition.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Ability to receive feedback, make revisions, and work collaboratively.
- An interest in learning, growing, and contributing creative ideas.
Professional experience is welcome but not required. Relevant internships, freelance projects, student work, and other portfolio experience will be considered.
A Different Kind of Design Opportunity
This isn't a position where your work stays behind the scenes. You'll have the opportunity to create materials seen by thousands of people throughout Oklahoma City, online, and across Myriad Botanical Gardens and Scissortail Park.
One week you might be designing social content; the next, signage for a festival, sponsor recognition for a fundraising event, an advertisement, or pages for our magazine. It's an opportunity to develop experience across print, digital, events, nonprofit marketing, fundraising, and place-based branding while working alongside an experienced marketing team.
Because our biggest programs and seasonal events don't always happen Monday through Friday, occasional evening and weekend work is required.
