School of Art & Design Social Media Intern

POSITION DESCRIPTION: 

The School of Art and Design at Northern Michigan University is seeking a responsible and creative students to collaboratively manage its official social media accounts for the school year, with the possibility of an extension.  

Each position offers up to 10 flexible hours per week at a pay rate of $14.25/hour. The team will be responsible for sourcing and creating engaging content, publishing posts and stories to Instagram multiple times a week, and responding to social media inquiries from the public. The specific responsibilities will be divided based on strengths and interests, ensuring that each member can contribute effectively to the overall strategy.

The ideal candidates will have at least one year remaining at NMU, be self-directed and motivated, and possess a strong interest in social media and design management. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as a team are essential. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop hands-on experience in social media strategy and content creation.
