Marketing & Graphic Design Intern
Maverick is looking for a creative, driven Marketing & Graphic Design Intern to help bring our brand to life across every touchpoint, from flyers, sales collateral, and event materials to email campaigns and social media. You'll work hands-on with our marketing and sales teams to create visually engaging materials, strengthen our brand presence, and sharpen the way we show up to builders.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys graphic design, visual storytelling, and marketing and wants to build their portfolio through real-world projects.
About the Program
- Location: St. Petersburg, FL
- Timeframe: Length of a semester; however, some internships may be extended
- Hours: 20–40 hours per week with a flexible schedule to accommodate classes

Primary Responsibilities
- Own graphic design projects from concept to completion, including layout, imagery, typography, branding, and copy
- Create visually compelling flyers, brochures, one-pagers, presentations, digital graphics, and other marketing collateral
- Partner closely with the sales team to design and refine sales collateral, presentations, and materials used to engage builders and prospective clients
- Maintain consistency with Maverick's brand identity, visual standards, fonts, colors, and overall look and feel
- Refresh and redesign existing marketing materials to improve their visual impact and effectiveness
- Design social media content, including branded graphics, post visuals, and supporting captions
- Create graphics and marketing materials for email campaigns, including banners, layouts, calls to action, and other visual elements
- Help test and improve email performance through simple A/B tests involving subject lines, send times, creative layouts, and messaging
- Design marketing materials for trade shows and events and pitch creative concepts for booth graphics, signage, giveaways, handouts, and activations
- Build, send, and help manage email marketing campaigns to leads and current builders
- Collaborate with team members to turn ideas and business needs into polished visual concepts
- Contribute fresh creative ideas across marketing campaigns and business development initiatives
Required Skills and Characteristics
- Strong visual design sense with an understanding of layout, typography, color, and composition
- Ability to take a creative idea or brief and turn it into a polished marketing asset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an interest in marketing copy
- Creative, organized, and detail-oriented
- Self-motivated and eager to learn, experiment, and receive feedback
- Collaborative and comfortable working directly with marketing and sales teams
- Able to manage multiple creative projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint
Preferred Skills and Characteristics
- Experience with Canva strongly preferred
- Previous graphic design experience through coursework, internships, employment, freelance work, student organizations, or personal projects
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or InDesign
