Today we are hiring a Quality Control Technician II in Sterling, VA. The department is in Quality Assurance. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
and this is a Full-Time position.
The Compensation is  $18.00/hour ($37,440/year) with Full Benefits.

This is an Exciting Quality Control Opportunity in Food Manufacturing!!!

Our client is seeking a Quality Control Technician II to join their Quality Assurance team at a sophisticated food manufacturing and production facility in Sterling, Virginia.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in food service, restaurants, food manufacturing, food processing, sanitation, or quality assurance who is ready to take the next step in their career. You will play an important role in ensuring that food products are produced safely, consistently, and according to strict quality and regulatory standards.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

Conduct and document quality control inspections throughout production.
Monitor employee hygiene, GMP compliance, and food safety practices.
Collect samples for laboratory and sensory testing.
Perform and document equipment calibration.
Identify and investigate product or process quality issues.
Assist with corrective actions and quality investigations.
Work with regulatory and USDA inspection personnel when needed.
Assist with training production and QA employees on food safety and quality procedures.
Support special inspections, technical projects, and quality improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate quality records and documentation.
Communicate quality concerns and findings to production and QA leadership.


What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

At least 2 years of experience in a restaurant, food industry, food manufacturing, food processing, or sanitation environment.
A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
Good communication and organizational abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
A strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and quality expectations.
Preferred Experience

 

Candidates with any of the following will be especially attractive:

HACCP experience
GMP experience
Food safety or quality control experience
Food manufacturing/processing experience
Quality inspections or product sampling
Laboratory or sensory testing
Equipment calibration
USDA or other regulatory inspection experience
Sous vide food production experience
