Hospitality Management Intern 

Camp Description:  

Our beautiful 80-acre private family resort is located on the shores of a 279-acre crystal-clear sand bottom lake in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. Acquired in 1988, the camp has been completely rebuilt over the last five years into a state-of-the-art facility designed to last for centuries with all the modern conveniences. The camp will accommodate over 100 guests in 20 cabins while providing world class service, activities, and camaraderie.  

Job Description: 

As a Hospitality Management Intern, you will be managing and maintaining all aspects of a luxury resort including property maintenance, housekeeping, food and beverage services and guest relations. We are seeking detail-oriented, high-energy Hospitality Management Interns. You will learn to use detailed checklists to maintain the property, execute seamless daily operations and weekly turnovers while simultaneously delivering thoughtful guest services. 

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • High School diploma or equivalent 
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • Valid Driver’s license (subject to insurance approval) 
  • Clean criminal history (subject to security approval) 
  • Non-tobacco user 
  • Knowledge of (or strong desire to learn) luxury hospitality standards. 
  • Previous customer service, retail, or hospitality experience desirable. 
  • Able to stand for prolonged periods of time and lift 50 pounds. 
  • Polished and exceptional verbal communication skills. 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Quality Control: Maintain quality standards by executing detailed operational checklists to inspect, clean, and preserve assets. 
  • Housekeeping: Assist with general housekeeping tasks and weekly guest turnover. 
  • Recreational Management: Stage, clean and organize recreational facilities and equipment including surf boat, jet skis, fishing boats, sand volleyball court, go-kart track, beach front, and basketball/tennis courts. 
  • Property Maintenance: Identify operational setbacks, update or develop new checklists where needed, and perform preventative maintenance. 
  • Food and Beverage: Support kitchen and bar crew with meal service and clean up. 
  • Guest Relations: Anticipate guest needs and fulfill special requests immediately. 

Position Details 

Location: Wascott, WI 

Duration: May through August 

Salary: $1,200 per week 

Schedule: Wednesday – Sunday, 6am – 2pm or 1pm – 9pm; Off Monday & Tuesday 

Housing: Dorm-style housing included on site with kitchen access
