The Tennessee Department of Treasury impacts the lives of Tennesseans every day. Treasury is responsible for many of the financial operations of state government, including managing more than $125 billion in assets through its various investment programs. The Investment Division is comprised of over thirty investment professionals responsible for the investment funds, the largest of which is the Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System, which has $60 billion in defined benefit pension fund assets. Investments include equities, fixed income, real estate, private equity and strategic credit. Our equities team manages quantitative, fundamental, and sector rotation strategies and our fixed income team manages corporate bonds, treasuries, and interest rates. The real estate team makes both direct and commingled fund investments in properties throughout the United States, while the private equity and strategic credit teams make primary fund investments and co-investments on a global basis. Internship Overview: 

Treasury is looking for individuals who have demonstrated an interest in finance and investing through school related coursework and activities. 

 

  • Opportunity for undergraduate student interested in a career in finance and asset management.
  • 10-week spring internship with the opportunity to work with investment professionals across multiple asset classes. 
  • 10 hours per week
  • Location is Nashville, TN
  • Pay Rate - $25 per hour
