Part-Time | 5–10 hours/week

The role

You'll teach groups of kids how to think like engineers — introducing basic concepts, guiding hands-on projects, and helping them build real robots they can call their own. The goal isn't just to teach circuitry or structure; it's to show young people that building things is creative, fun, and within their reach.

We train you. No robotics background required. You'll go through our training program before you step into a classroom, covering the tools, concepts, and teaching methods we use. Our instructors come from all sorts of backgrounds — visual arts, theater, music, engineering — and that range is a feature, not a coincidence.

What you'll do

- Lead hands-on robotics and engineering lessons for children- Guide students through building projects, troubleshooting alongside them- Bring energy and encouragement to every session, especially when things don't go as planned- Adapt your approach to meet students where they are — different ages, different skill levels, different learning styles- Keep the classroom experience creative, welcoming, and a little bit fun

About you

- You genuinely like working with kids and have some experience doing it (tutoring, coaching, babysitting, camp counseling — it all counts)- You're patient and encouraging, even when things get messy or loud- You can explain things clearly and adjust on the fly- Comfortable being a little silly — this is robot-building, after all- Available for classes on a consistent weekly schedule

Nice to have

- Background in education, engineering, or the arts- Prior experience teaching or leading group activities- Interest in STEM, making, or hands-on learning
