Description: 

About the Role 

As a Campus Ambassador, you’ll drive efforts to expand educational opportunity for students nationwide – starting right on your campus. This is a paid leadership role where you’ll build your marketing, outreach, and communications skills while helping more students discover a path to making real change with Teach For America. 

You’ll work closely with Teach For America’s full-time recruitment team to build TFA’s presence on campus, identify purpose-driven student leaders, and connect peers to meaningful service pathways both during their time in college and after graduation through our Ignite Fellowship and teaching corps programs. This is a great fit for students who want to gain professional experience, are energized by peer-to-peer outreach, and want to contribute to the effort to ensure all students have access to an excellent education. 

You will gain: 

  • Real experience in marketing, communications, and recruitment

  • Coaching and mentorship with TFA’s recruitment team
  • Early exposure to TFA’s career pathways and post-grad roles, including exclusive opportunities to interview for and be admitted early to our full-time corps position

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

Grow Our Reach

  • Strengthen the TFA brand on your campus
  • Develop and execute strategies tailored to your community that increase the visibility, understanding of, and affinity to our bran

Marketing and Outreach

  • Run marketing campaigns and digital promotion (social media, campus media) 
  • Table in high-traffic areas, post flyers, and support email/social outreach 
  • Secure placements in campus media (newspapers, ratio, newsletters)

 Events 

  • Organize TFA-sponsored and co-hosted events to spark interest and drive engagement 
  • Coordinate presentations in campus classrooms and with student organizations 

Engage and Connect Leaders

  • Identify and connect high-potential student leaders with TFA’s programs
  • Partner with student organizations to reach key audiences 

Data Management

  • Track engagement and input key data into our CRM 
  • Use data to make strategic decisions about what activities will be most effective in increasing Teach For America’s brand and recruitment outcomes

 

Required Qualifications/Skills: 

  • Must have accepted a Federal Work-Study award for the current academic year.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work a minimum of 3-10 hours a week (depending on campus) on a consistent basis 
  • Must be able to attend weekly team meetings and check-ins with manager
  • Must be an undergraduate student at a college or university with available positions 
  • Strong interest in pursuing Teach For America as a post-graduate career opportunity
