Marketing Social Media Intern
About the Role
As our Marketing & Social Media Intern, you'll work directly with the firm's founding attorney to grow and manage De Maio Law's social media presence, support content creation, and help track marketing performance across platforms. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone interested in legal marketing, digital media, or communications, who wants real experience managing a brand's online voice.
Compensation: This is a paid internship, with compensation based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Draft, schedule, and publish content across Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook
- Support production of bilingual (English/Spanish) video and graphic content for social campaigns
- Monitor engagement, respond to comments/messages, and help manage online reviews
- Assist with content calendars and campaign planning
- Track basic performance metrics (followers, engagement, reach) and report on trends
- Help maintain consistency across the firm's website and social channels
- Research trends in legal/immigration-related content and social media best practices
- Support occasional video/photo shoots (in-office or on location)
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field
- Strong writing skills; comfortable creating content for social platforms
- Familiarity with Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and basic content scheduling tools
- Spanish fluency strongly preferred (bilingual content is core to our audience)
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently
- Interest in immigration law, legal services, or nonprofit/advocacy communications a plus
- Basic graphic design or video editing skills (Canva, CapCut, etc.) a plus
