Insurance Sales Agent
Surge Partners is hiring entry-level insurance agents to represent American Income Life, a Globe Life company. You'll work with families to review and put in place life insurance and supplemental benefits — most of it through relationships with labor unions, credit unions, and associations that request our services.
No insurance experience needed. Nearly everyone on our team started with none. We hire for coachability and work ethic, then train the rest.
What you'll do
- Contact and follow up with warm leads from union and association members who requested information
- Set and run virtual appointments, walk families through a needs analysis, and recommend appropriate coverage
- Submit applications through our electronic application system
- Attend daily team training and evening recap calls
Training
New agents go through a structured two-week onboarding before working independently:
- Week 1: Daily agency training, then live coaching calls where you'll listen to experienced agents close real appointments
- Week 2: Daily training, then hands-on practice — dialing, setting appointments, and running mock presentations with a coach
- End of week 2: Test out and begin working with your own clients
Every training day ends with a team recap call at 8:00 PM Central.
What we're looking for
- Strong communication skills and comfort talking with people by phone and video
- Self-motivated and coachable — you'll get daily feedback and need to apply it
- Reliable internet and a quiet place to work
- Must be 18 or older and able to obtain a state life insurance license (we cover the process and reimburse licensing costs)
Compensation and schedule
Commission-based, with weekly pay, production bonuses, and performance incentives. Flexible scheduling and remote work — many of our agents build their hours around class, athletics, or Greek life commitments. There is a clear path from new agent into team leadership; several of our current leaders were licensed under a year before running their own teams.
