SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a Supply Chain Excellence Intern, you will support supply chain excellence through data analysis, inventory optimization, and process improvement activities.
What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)
While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:
- Supply Chain Analysis & Insights
- Collect, analyze, and interpret supply chain data from various systems.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to monitor KPIs.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to inventory, sourcing and logistics.
- Support root cause analysis and recommend data-driven solutions.
- Inventory Optimization
- Support inventory optimization activities.
- Analyze inventory data to help identify improvement opportunities.
- Assist with supply chain projects related to inventory performance
- Process Improvement
- Support process improvement initiatives within the supply chain function.
- Assist with identifying opportunities to improve supply chain processes.
- Participate in projects that support supply chain excellence.
- Strategic Projects
- Evaluate supply chain performance and identify opportunities for cost reduction and service improvement.
- Assist in developing business cases and executive presentations

Required Experience
- No prior professional experience required; this is an entry-level internship.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Microsoft Excel skills.
- Interest in data analysis, inventory optimization, and process improvement.
Education & Certifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business or another related field.
Travel & Working Environment
- Limited to no travel
- Exposure to a manufacturing plant environment.
