Software Engineering Intern

Duration: 3–6 months (with potential for full-time conversion)

PayCloud Innovations builds next-generation payment platforms, including Apple Secure Element (SE), SoftPOS, and digital wallet technologies. We focus on secure, scalable, real-time payment systems used across fintech, mobility, and commerce.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Software Engineering Intern to join our development team and work on real-world fintech products. This hands-on role involves contributing to backend services, APIs, and mobile integrations.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain backend services and APIs
Support mobile integration workflows (iOS / Android)
Work on payment-related features such as NFC, tokenization, and transactions
Debug, test, and improve system performance
Collaborate with senior engineers on architecture and design
Participate in code reviews and agile development cycles
Requirements
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Basic knowledge of one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript
Understanding of REST APIs and web services
Familiarity with data structures and basic system design concepts
Strong problem-solving skills
On-site work in Austin preferred
Nice to Have
Experience with frameworks such as Node.js or Spring Boot
Exposure to mobile development (Swift or Kotlin)
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
Interest in fintech, payments, or security technologies
GitHub or personal project experience
