Internship Description

Girls Inc. of Chicago in partnership with NielsenIQ (NIQ) is seeking a Technology Support Coordinator Intern between the ages of 18-24 years old. The Technology Support Coordinator Intern will assist the IT team with day-to-day technology support operations, focusing on laptop returns, device data security, and asset tracking. This role is ideal for students interested in gaining practical experience in IT operations and technology lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process laptop and equipment returns from employees
  • Perform electronic data wiping of devices in accordance with security protocols
  • Assist with ad hoc asset management and inventory tracking
  • Maintain accurate records of hardware status and assignments
  • Provide general administrative support to the Technology Support team as needed

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Interest in technology and IT support operations
  • Ability to follow technical procedures and documentation
  • Basic familiarity with computer hardware and systems preferred

Additional Qualifications: 

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in related discipline 
  • Great written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). 
  • Ability to handle confidential information with a high level of discretion. 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. 
  • Flexibility, initiative, self-motivated, detail-oriented and follow-through. 
  • Must be able to work at least 30 hours per week.
