Personal Trainer

The Full-Time Personal Trainer at ROI Strength plays a vital role in both coaching and community. Your primary responsibility is delivering high-quality personal training sessions (1:1 and 2:1) while supporting your clients’ progress through thoughtful program design and communication. Beyond the training floor, you’ll also contribute to the growth of the gym by engaging in community events, marketing, and relationship-building.

This role is intended to work up to and maintain an average of 28 hours per week of in-person personal training. Training hours may vary week to week. Administrative work related to conducting training sessions and client/team success include essential responsibilities such as client and team communication, program design, session notes, and basic scheduling or billing-related follow-up. These responsibilities are considered part of the role and are expected to be completed efficiently alongside training.

Additional administrative or project-based work - such as contributing to internal systems, processes, or special initiatives that support the growth of the business - is available based on role needs and performance. Both natural administrative work and project-based administrative work are capped based on your average weekly training hours to ensure balanced workloads and sustainability. Total work hours shall not exceed 40 hours per week.

All new trainers begin with a 12-week Foundations Period (outlined below) designed to give you the skills, mentorship, and support needed to succeed at ROI Strength. After completing Foundations, trainers transition into our tier-based commission compensation structure, which rewards growth, retention, and long-term career development.

Our Ideal Candidate

You should be a self-starter, want to continually improve yourself through education, and take an active interest in bringing ideas to improve community, growth, and development in the gym. We are a small, close knit team and this person must exemplify the core values of our culture through their daily work to make sure that we are all rowing the boat in the same direction. You should be transparent in what you want and how you feel and you can expect to receive the same from us in return.
