Java Software Engineer

Location: New Jersey

About the Position

Best High Technologies is seeking a motivated and technically skilled Java Software Engineer to join our growing technology team. The ideal candidate will contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of scalable software applications while working closely with other engineers and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and software systems.
Develop scalable and reliable backend services using Java and Spring/Spring Boot.
Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate internal and third-party services.
Work with relational and NoSQL databases to develop efficient data storage and retrieval solutions.
Analyze technical requirements and translate them into effective software solutions.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance and reliability.
Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices.
Collaborate with frontend developers, data engineers, product managers, and other technical teams.
Contribute to system architecture, technical documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
Strong programming skills in Java and object-oriented programming.
Experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Hibernate, or similar Java technologies.
Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and software development life-cycle practices.
Familiarity with Git and modern software development tools.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with Kafka or other distributed messaging systems.
Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
Experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit or Mockito.
