Front End Nights Technician

 I am looking for a Front End Nights Technician to be based on Tualatin for a large semiconductor company.

Shift:  Front end nights....Sun-Tues, every other Saturday

Role

This process technician role is to support the implementation of a new business system into a lab environment.  The successful candidate will be able to share previous experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES) used within the semiconductor industry, having worked in cleanroom environments.  The responsibilities for this role will vary depending on the phase of the project.

               Training – about 3 months, to learn and master the new lab business system

Testing/validation phase – support testing of new business system, including in-lab testing on process tools

               Pilot/launch phase – support training of lab users, including on-the-job and classroom training

               Post launch support phase – serve as business system expert to support end user technical questions

Skills/Experience

2+ years Semiconductor manufacturing or lab experience

Demonstrated experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)

Good oral and written communication skills

Formal/informal technical training – on-the-job, classroom environments

Duties/Day to Day Overview

Process Technician Tasks

1. Process Technicians assist senior engineers and technologists in developing processes on advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment.  
2. Execute passdowns from engineers which includes following a set of instructions, preparing FOUPS, running experiments and submitting wafers for metrology.  Submission wafers for SEM work, retrieval of coupons post SEM work and verification of zero loss of material.
3. Good communication skills and able to notify process engineers with issues with passdowns and execute revised passdowns once errors are recovered.  Daily passdown summaries and feedback to engineering.  
4. Comfort with learning equipment software and process recipe structure.  Basic troubleshooting of equipment issues and clearing of errors to continue passdowns or submit service requests for equipment maintenance.  
5. Housekeeping of the work areas being worked at:  submitting new wafers for pre-metrology and used wafers for reclaim.
6. Exporting data from equipment and metrology tools depositing in a database.  
7. Basic knowledge of windows operating system and Microsoft office tools

1. BA Degree in Science or related field is Desired but not required.
2. Basic Microsoft Office
3. Exp with metrology tools (process tools are very different - don’t expect to have exp on what we have)
4. Ability to learn quickly (any examples of how they picked up skills in past
5. Wafers handling 
6. Clear passdowns - what is done and not

Additional Qualifications 

(Nice to Haves)

1. Lam Process Tools or Novellus tools are a plus. 
2. Deposition Processing or Etch processing. 
3. Familiarity with Metrology Tools. 
4. Onto – metrology Tool nice to have. 

Additional Notes

Compressed shifts will have day shift folks and night shift folks -

4 days on one week 3 days other

1. If it says Novellus tool, lam process tools, Lam bough novellus
2. Deposition processing , or Etch processing
3. Familiarity with metrology tools KLA or Onto
4. Wafer process - ongression. Max tech another good company – etch tool or PCBD.
5. 80%lab, 10-20% training – train process community.
