Position Summary:   

 


The University at Buffalo invites applications for the position of Assistant Athletic Director/Director of Football Medical Services. The incumbent will perform duties within the boundaries of all NCAA, Mid-American Conference, NY State Licensure and UB rules and regulations. The State University of New York at Buffalo is a NCAA FBS Division 1 institution, in the MAC conference. The incumbent will manage operations of the Broadview Stadium Training Room while providing treatment and rehabilitation of injuries sustained by intercollegiate student-athletes participating in the Division I FBS Football program.

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Management of Sports Medicine operations and facility management within Athletics department
  • Direct oversight of assistant Athletic Trainers in appropriate sport coverage and responsibilities in the sports medicine and wellness department.
  • Maintain accurate daily injury reports, treatment reports, and rehabilitation notes for all student-athletes.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing and scheduling of athletic training.
  • Assist in budgetary concerns for the sports medicine and wellness department.

Minimum Qualifications: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in appropriate area of specialization, with 3 years of relevant experience in the Athletic Training field.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written skills.
  • Possess a high-level understanding of athletic training.
  • Certification by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification (NATABOC) and State Licensure required.

 

 

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Master’s degree in related field.
  • 3 or more years experience in collegiate sports.
  • Experience with Division I FBS intercollegiate football.
  • Administrative experience in Sports Medicine.
