About the Role
Texas Tree Surgeons is hiring Tree Planting Laborers to join our field crews. This is physically demanding outdoor work. You’ll be digging, hauling, and planting trees in all kinds of weather, often on uneven terrain. If you’re looking for a desk job, this isn’t it. What You’ll Do
- Work as part of a coordinated crew to meet daily planting schedule
- Communicate with customers about projects and work performed.
- Dig planting holes by hand and with power augers in varied soil conditions
- Place trees (root balls frequently 40–100+ lbs) across job sites
- Backfill, stake, mulch, and water newly planted trees to spec
- Load and unload nursery stock, tools, and equipment from trucks and trailers
- Follow safety protocols around tools, machinery, traffic, and hazards
- Work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and rough terrain
- Maintain site cleanliness and proper tool care
What We’re Looking For
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Willingness to work outdoors in all seasons and conditions
- Follow safety guidelines and training while operating tools and power equipment
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly throughout the day
- Comfortable with repeated physical labor: bending, kneeling, digging, and hauling
- Willingness to work outdoors in all seasons and conditions
- Valid driver’s license preferred (not always required)
- Must be able to commute to DFW metroplex, or be willing to relocate.
- No experience necessary. We train on proper planting technique, tool use, and safety
