AI Software Developer

This is an unpaid intern role at a startup, Terso AI. 

Terso AI builds custom software, automation, AI agents, and continuously learning systems for small and mid-sized businesses. We audit a company's operations, find where they lose time and money, then build and deploy the fix. Our team is students and graduates of Ivy League and other top universities, and we move fast. As an AI Developer, you build the custom systems we sell: AI agents, automations, integrations, and custom tools, working on scoped modules under our architecture. You take a spec and ship it, fast and clean.

What you would do:
- Build AI agents and automations that do real work for clients.
- Wire integrations across the tools clients already use: email, CRMs, databases, APIs.
- Write clean, tested code and ship scoped modules on a timeline.
- Work directly with the founder on architecture.

What we look for:
- A strong coder who ships. Comfortable with modern AI tooling: LLMs, agents, prompt and context engineering.
- Python or TypeScript and real API-integration experience.
- Moves fast, cares about the details, and sees a module through end-to-end.
- Bonus: you have shipped an agent or automation people actually use.

Compensation:
Paid, project-based work, with direct access to a team of Ivy League students and graduates. Strong developers get more work and more responsibility over time. Specifics come up when you message.
