Position Overview

Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and qualified Exceptional Children (EC) Teacher to provide virtual special education services to a 7th-grade student in North Carolina.

This is a part-time, fully remote opportunity for an educator who is comfortable delivering individualized instruction virtually and supporting a student's academic and educational needs through an online learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized special education instruction through a virtual platform.




• Implement instruction and services aligned with the student's Individualized Education Program (IEP).




• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet the student's individual learning needs.




• Monitor academic progress and adjust instruction as appropriate.




• Maintain accurate documentation and student records.




• Collaborate virtually with school staff, families, and related service providers.




• Participate in IEP meetings and other educational team meetings as needed.




• Create an engaging, structured, and supportive virtual learning environment.




• Maintain compliance with North Carolina and federal special education requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Exceptional Children Education, or a related field.




• Valid North Carolina EC/Special Education teaching license required or eligibility to obtain.




• Experience providing special education instruction preferred.




• Comfortable using virtual teaching platforms and technology.




• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.




• Ability to provide engaging and individualized instruction in a remote setting.
