Position Overview
Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and qualified Exceptional Children (EC) Teacher to provide virtual special education services to a 7th-grade student in North Carolina.
This is a part-time, fully remote opportunity for an educator who is comfortable delivering individualized instruction virtually and supporting a student's academic and educational needs through an online learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
Provide individualized special education instruction through a virtual platform.
Implement instruction and services aligned with the student's Individualized Education Program (IEP).
Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet the student's individual learning needs.
Monitor academic progress and adjust instruction as appropriate.
Maintain accurate documentation and student records.
Collaborate virtually with school staff, families, and related service providers.
Participate in IEP meetings and other educational team meetings as needed.
Create an engaging, structured, and supportive virtual learning environment.
Maintain compliance with North Carolina and federal special education requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Exceptional Children Education, or a related field.
Valid North Carolina EC/Special Education teaching license required or eligibility to obtain.
Experience providing special education instruction preferred.
Comfortable using virtual teaching platforms and technology.
Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
Ability to provide engaging and individualized instruction in a remote setting.
