Behavior Technician
The Behavior Technician position is working within the schools within San Diego County and is Monday-Friday schedule. The schedule can be anytime from 7:30am-4pm just depending on the different bell schedules at each school. It is on average 28-30 hours a week when students are present. We do follow the school calendar so any breaks, school holidays, and summer you would have off. We do have options to sub at neighboring districts for any breaks such as spring break/winter break so you can pick up some additional hours or you have the option to take that time off. At this time, we do not offer PTO or holiday pay. You do receive 40 hours of sick pay per calendar year and are able to use that for any scheduled shifts after 90 days of employment.
For this position, you would be working in a classroom either 1:1 with a student or classroom support. Some duties include providing assistance on classwork, assisting the student(s) through any behaviors that may arise, assisting the teacher with anything they may need, walking students out to recess, lunch or bathroom routine. The goal is to have you remain at one school site for the entirety of the school year but sometimes the school district may need to make some switches so flexibility is required as you may be asked to support at a different school site. The pay for this position is $23-25
