Mental Health Counseling Intern or Limited Permit Mental Health Counselor

Reframed Mental Health is hiring Mental Health Counseling Interns or Limited Permit Mental Health Counselors in New York State to join our growing private practice in Midtown. We are a small team of clinicians who value a practical whole-person model, hybrid schedules to provide in-person therapy options, clinician autonomy over schedule and client load, and a community of clinicians who support one another.

• Master's degree
• Mental Health Counseling Intern or MHC-LP Permit

What You'll Do

• You will meet with individuals and couples for therapy sessions.
• Document initial assessments, sessions, treatment plans, and required notes to meet compliance and billing standards
• Collaborate with the team during weekly group supervision.
• Connect with other professionals or family members when needed

What you Won't Do

We have a Practice Director who runs the business side of things so all you have to do is see clients and keep compliant records. That means you won't be responsible for:

• Marketing yourself – our Practice Director takes care of marketing
• Endless consultation calls – all clients start with the Practice Director and 95% of clients go straight to the first session. In the past 6-months only 3 clients have requested an additional consult directly with the therapist before starting.
• Finance or insurance conversations with the client
• Submitting billing or call insurance companies
