Student Assistant, Educational Partnerships
Under Direct supervision of the Educational Partnership Project Manager, the Student Assistant will provide assistance to anything in the area of educational partnerships. This includes Rising Scholars, K-16 Collaborative Grant, MACC (Adult Education), Dual Enrollment, Community Education, or Articulation. This could include duties from getting snacks ready for an event, to speaking to high school students about registration. It could have the student working on flyers for Dual Enrollment classes or helping high school students with getting through the dualenroll.com system.
Primary Duties
- To learn the basics about each area as quickly as possibly
- To maintain basic knowledge of the programs and to assist students and parents with general questions as needed
- Respond to general group area project emails when able
- Assist with projects and tasks.
- File and copy documents, and assist with a variety of additional office duties
- May be asked to create: flyers, documents, letter, memos, and other office related documents.
- May assist with campus outreach through tabling on campus or making short presentations to classes or tours.tudS
- Support other Student Services offices when needed
- Training provided.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Good time management skills, well-organized
- Provide excellent customer service, have good communication skills and be ready to learn; maintain effective interpersonal relationships
- Good computer skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office /Windows
- Follow and give oral and written instructions
- Work independently and as a part of a team
- Work with a diverse population of students while maintaining confidentiality
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience with Canva and/or graphic design or marketing skills
- Public speaking
- Have initiative to find something productive to do if there is downtime in the hours of work
Education and Experience:
Current student maintaining at least a 2.0 GPA and in good standing.
Pay: $17.40 per hour
Hours: 20 hours per week during hours of operation
Location: This job is hybrid and may be WFH sometimes, at local high schools sometimes, at Santa Rita Jail sometimes, at events sometimes, or in our Academic Services office sometimes.
