Growth Intern (Content / Social Media / Community)
Pinnie Health | New York, NY | Part-Time / Internship
About Pinnie Health
Millions of older adults in America are failed by healthcare every day. They get discharged from the hospital with no follow-up plan. They miss medications because nobody explained the instructions. They give up trying to fight a denied insurance claim. They don't know what they're entitled to, and there's nobody helping them figure it out. The system wasn't built for them, it was built around them.
Pinnie Health exists to fix that. We're building the first AI-powered care advocacy platform that gives every older adult on Medicare a dedicated human advocate, backed by AI that handles the research, coordination, and follow-up, at zero cost to the patient. We launched three months ago, we've already enrolled over 100 patients, we're licensed in 46 states, and we're growing fast. This is early-stage, high-impact work at the intersection of healthcare and technology, and we're just getting started.
The Role
We're looking for someone who understands how to build a social media presence from nothing. Someone who's already grown accounts on Instagram, Facebook, or both, and can prove it.
You'll be our first dedicated social media hire. The job is building Pinnie's organic presence across Instagram and Facebook from scratch: daily content using a mix of AI-generated visuals, static graphics, patient testimonials, short-form video, articles, community posts, and whatever formats you think will connect with our audience. You'll also help manage a UGC agency we're working with to produce creator content around elder care and Medicare.
The people you'll be making content for are older adults navigating Medicare, dealing with denied claims, trying to find a doctor who actually listens. The audience is their families, their caregivers, and the patients themselves.
There are 67 million people on Medicare in this country, and almost nobody is making good content for them. That's the opportunity. We're not handing you a content calendar and asking you to execute.
We want someone entrepreneurial who will come in, take ownership, and treat this like their own brand. You'll work directly with both founders, you'll have budget to spend, and you'll have the freedom to move fast. If you prove you can grow it, this becomes a full-time role.
What You'll Do
Build and run our Instagram and Facebook. Create and publish content daily across both platforms. Static posts, carousels, Reels, Stories, testimonials, AI-generated imagery, quote cards, articles, community discussion posts. You'll figure out what formats work on each platform and double down on what gets traction.
Use AI tools to move fast. You're comfortable with tools like Midjourney, ChatGPT, Higgsfield, or whatever's new this week. You use them to produce more and better content, not as a crutch.
Grow an organic community. Build a following of Medicare beneficiaries, their adult children, and caregivers who actually engage. We care about people who click through and sign up, not vanity follower counts. Figure out what content sparks conversation and sharing in this audience.
Manage our UGC agency. We're working with a UGC agency to produce creator content. You'll be the point person: reviewing briefs, giving feedback on deliverables, making sure the output fits our brand and actually performs.
Experiment constantly. Test hooks, formats, posting times, hashtag strategies, content series. Track what works. Kill what doesn't. Bring us ideas we haven't thought of.
Why Pinnie
You'll build a brand for a massive underserved audience. 67 million Medicare beneficiaries. Their adult children. Their caregivers. Nobody is making great social content for this population. You get to own that space.
We'll give you real ownership. No approval chains, no brand police. If you have an idea, pitch it at standup and post it that afternoon. We're a small team that moves fast, and we'll back you if you show results.
The content matters. This isn't promoting a lifestyle brand or selling SaaS. The stories you'll tell are about real people getting help they couldn't find anywhere else. Families find us through the content you'll create.
It can turn into a career. This starts as a part-time role. If you grow the channels and prove you can own the function, we'll convert it to full-time.
Who You Are
- You've grown a social media account and can show the numbers. Yours, a brand's, a client's. We want to see the before and after.
- You think big and are entrepreneurial. We want to take big swings and build a massive brand to drive awareness about a service that matters.
- You post consistently. Not once a week. Daily or close to it. You understand that cadence is half the game.
- You're fluent in AI content tools. You already use them in your workflow and can show us what you've made with them.
- You have visual taste. Your feed doesn't look like a template dump. You know color, composition, and typography well enough to make things people want to share.
- You can write captions and short copy that sounds human, not like a brand account. No "we're thrilled to announce." Real voice.
- Based in or near NYC. Some in-person collaboration in our Tribeca office, but most of the work is remote.
What You Don't Need
- A marketing degree
- Agency experience
- A follower count
We care about what you can make, not what's on your resume.

How to Apply
1. Please submit your resume on this job post.
2. Please go to pinnie.com and spend some time understanding what we do and who we serve. Then email aashay@pinnie.com the following:
a. An account you've grown. Include the handle and the numbers (where it started, where it is now, timeframe).
b. A content plan. We're starting from zero on Instagram and Facebook. Pitch us 2-3 content series or recurring formats you'd launch in your first two weeks. Tell us why you think they'd work for this audience.
c. One big idea. What would you do in the first 90 days to build a real community around Pinnie? We're not looking for a polished deck. A few paragraphs showing how you think is plenty. That's the whole application.
