Clinical Research Coordinator

Job Title:  Clinical Research Coordinator - Clinical Hours Opportunity 

Allergy & Asthma Medical Group of the Bay Area

Allergy and Asthma Clinical Research is seeking a full time Clinical Research Coordinator to oversee multiple pharmaceutical sponsored clinical trials. We perform research studies focusing on various conditions including asthma, HAE, food allergy and chronic cough. The candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with medical doctors, PAs, and nurses. The candidate must be organized, be a team player, have strong communication and problem-solving skills. This position is for highly motivated and reliable candidates to work in a collaborative and challenging environment. The position will provide valuable experience in clinical research, clinical exposure and is an excellent opportunity for those interested in pursuing graduate education. Previous candidates have matriculated to graduate and medical school positions. The position will offer hands-on training, the ability to participate in the development of medical advances that have the potential to improve human health, and gain experience with EHR platforms. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Clinical Research Coordinator will oversee research studies for pharmaceutical sponsored clinical trials.  Responsibilities include recruitment of study subjects based on study protocols, documentation of study subjects progress via data entry and progress notes, all study procedures as per study protocol including but not limited to vital signs, lung function tests, ECG, phlebotomy, lab processing, comprehensive medical history review, and training of study subjects on their specific clinical trial. 

  • Oversee smooth running of clinical trials
  • Collecting and analyzing data
  • Communicating with study participants
  • Ensuring that participants adhere to study rules and guidelines
  • Monitor studies to ensure that they comply with protocols and regulatory standards
  • Maintain accurate records, including case report forms, drug accountability records and other records per FDA guidelines
  • Direct the collection, labelling, storage and transport of all specimens

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in any fields related to healthcare/medicine
  • Must be able to commit to this position for at least 2 years
  • Strong organizational and time management skills allowing for the management of multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on a team.
  • Comfortable with technological requirements
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Medical and scientific knowledge
  • Ability to troubleshoot complicated situations
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with patients while demonstrating empathy and patience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Fluency in Spanish is highly preferred

 

Physical Requirements

Frequently stand, sit and walk. Ability to lift, carry, push and pull objects that weigh up to 50lbs or more.
