ROLE:
The College Financial Planning Analyst supports advisors by preparing and analyzing financial planning strategies, investment recommendations, and insurance solutions. Interns gain experience using financial planning software, evaluating client data, building reports, and contributing to financial planning decisions. This role is ideal for students who enjoy problem-solving, data analysis, and translating complex information into actionable recommendations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Financial planning preparation, including generating investment and insurance proposals, preparing performance reports for client portfolios, running product illustrations using proprietary software, and assist in developing retirement, insurance, investment, and risk management strategies for advisors’ meetings with clients
- Complete, submit, and track new account investment paperwork
- Manage insurance application progress
- Maintain client information and data in financial planning software
- Create Investment Policy Statements for investment advisory accounts
- Identify gaps or opportunities within existing client plans
- Support advisors during plan development and implementation
- Operational support as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Full-time student enrolled in relevant degree program
- Interest in investments, financial planning, or financial analysis
- Strong analytical and quantitative aptitude with ability to interpret and synthesize data into recommendations
- Proficiency with Excel and financial technology platforms
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
