Applied Behavior Analysis Line Technician

Job Summary

A Registered Line Technician works 1:1 or in small groups, providing behavior therapy to clients with various diagnoses, ranging in ages from early childhood to adolescence. A line technician provides individualized services based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Each client has a treatment plan that addresses deficits in areas such as communication, social skills and behavioral targets. Clients are assessed by a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA), who selects specific programs appropriate for their needs. The line technician implements these programs, under the supervision of an LBA, while collecting data and graphing this data daily to help make decisions on the clients' progress.

Responsibilities and Duties

A line technician will be expected to: a) read a program sheet that provides instructions, b) record data, c) graph data, d) keep the work area clean, e) attend staff meetings, and f) be comfortable being supervised by an LBA (Licensed Behavior Analyst) & their peers.

Qualifications and Skills

An applicant is required to have at least a high school degree/GED. A college degree is highly preferred, but not necessary and does not have to be in a specific field of interest. Applicants also must be able to pass a federal background check and be 18 years or older.
Please note for this position, an employee is expected to go through a training period with the goal of becoming a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). The on-site and online training provided by Touchstone, prepares line technicians to take the RBT exam, a national certification for employees that provide ABA services.
