We are seeking an experienced Architectural Project Manager to join our growing residential architecture practice. The ideal candidate will have 8–10 years of professional architectural experience, with a strong background in residential design, construction documentation, project coordination, and client management.
This is a fully in-office position for an individual who is comfortable managing projects from initial design through construction documentation and approvals while working closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and our internal design team.
Responsibilities
- Manage residential architectural projects from schematic design through construction documentation and permitting.
- Develop and coordinate design concepts, floor plans, elevations, details, and complete construction document sets.
- Oversee project schedules, deliverables, and internal coordination.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the design and documentation process.
- Coordinate with structural engineers, consultants, contractors, municipalities, and other project professionals.
- Review drawings for design intent, technical accuracy, constructability, and code compliance.
- Provide guidance and oversight to junior architectural staff and drafters.
- Assist with zoning, building code, and permitting requirements.
- Participate in client meetings, site visits, and project coordination meetings.
Qualifications
- 8–10 years of professional architectural experience required.
- Professional degree in Architecture required: five-year Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) or a 4+2 path consisting of a four-year undergraduate degree and two-year Master of Architecture (M.Arch.).
- Strong experience in residential architecture, including additions, renovations, and new construction.
- Professional architectural license preferred, or actively on the path toward licensure.
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods, detailing, zoning, and building codes.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and client-management skills.
- Strong technical drawing and construction-documentation abilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a fast-paced architectural office.
Position Details
This is a full-time, in-office position. Remote and hybrid arrangements are not available for this role.
Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
