Technical Content Creator — YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn

Location: Remote
Type: 25-50% time
Compensation: $30-$70 per hour, depending on experience and location

We produce content for some of the best, fastest-growing, and most exciting technology startups in the world. The majority of our work sits between scripted comedy, internet culture, music videos, branded entertainment, and short films. We are now expanding into technical content for our partners, helping them create educational video content for YouTube and other platforms so their customers can best learn how to use their tools and platforms.

We are looking for someone who can lead this initiative from end to end:

  • Present complex topics in a comprehensive and engaging way supported by a modern visual language
  • Use empathy and creativity to identify engaging and novel video concepts based on the client’s products and services
  • Write, produce, edit, and deliver the videos, which can be with or without an on-screen host
  • Track the videos’ performance and engagement to better understand audience feedback, so the next video is even better

Examples of good technical content:

Our ideal candidate has:

  • 2+ years experience producing high-performing technical video content for technology companies
  • A background in engineering, computer science, or another technical field and/or a past role in developer relations (DevRel)
  • Aptitude and enthusiasm for the latest AI tools for audio/visual effects
  • A strong ability to self-start and work independently
  • Fluent written and spoken English

To apply, please send the following to careers@stareable.com with the subject line “Technical Content Creator — YouTube & Instagram”:

  • Your greatest hits: 2 to 3 links to the best technical content videos you made yourself. For each one, write a few sentences explaining why it works and what you'd change now.
  • Someone else's banger: pick any technical content video on YouTube you thought was genuinely well done. Describe the core of what makes its format, style, and tone work in only 3 to 4 sentences

We care more about the quality and relevance of the work than formal qualifications. Selected candidates will be invited to complete a short paid exercise, followed by a paid trial project.
