Contract Associate – Legal / Contracts

Location: Minneapolis, MN or Texas (Preferred)
Employment Type: Internship/co-op/externship, W-2

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an early-career Contract Associate to support a legal/contracts team with the review, management, negotiation, and execution of business agreements.

This opportunity is ideal for recent law school graduates or candidates with a law degree who have gained practical experience through an internship, co-op, externship, or previous role involving contracts or legal operations.

Key Responsibilities

Review and analyze contracts, agreements, and related legal documents.

Support contract negotiation and identify key terms, risks, and required revisions.

Coordinate the contract review and approval process with internal stakeholders.

Assist with contract execution, tracking, and maintaining accurate contract records.

Communicate with internal teams and external parties regarding contract requirements and status.

Support the legal/contracts team with research, documentation, and other contract-related activities.

Qualifications

Law degree (JD or equivalent) preferred/required.

Recent law school graduate or early-career legal professional.

Internship, co-op, externship, or work experience involving contract review, negotiation, management, or execution strongly preferred.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to review legal documents and understand contractual terms.

Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Candidates located in or near Minneapolis, MN or Texas are preferred.
