Math and English Instructor
Established, franchised education led after-school learning center located at Evergreen/Silver Creek area in Southeast San Jose. The learning Center has been in business for 21+ years catering to K-12 students through a evidence-based and scientifically designed 'workbook' system for Math and English from very beginning level (Pre-K) to 9th grade level. We are looking for instructor(s) who can guide/lead/help students to build up strong and concrete Mathematics/English concepts through our system.
(Job Description)
- Lead a class for Elementary(mostly)/Middle school students (not lecturing or teaching position, we have our own manual (procedure) that you need to follow)
- Guide and coach a small class (3-5 kids)
- Typical working hours: Mon.- Thurs. 3:00 -6:30 pm - hours might be slightly change. We are flexible and will work with your schedule & availability.
- Paid training period will be provided
(Qualifications)
1. Cheerful, Intuitive, Empathetic, Passionate, Positive, Punctual and Interactive.
2. Must enjoy being with kids and be able to interact with them.
3. Must be very good at Math (up to Algebra 2 level or above) and Academic English concepts
4. College students, college graduates, teaching credential program attendants, future teacher to be, or college degree holders. This position is not for high-school students.
Other positions are available as well as growth opportunities in advancing your career in the field of education (suitable for candidates working towards teaching credentials).
This position is not temporary, but longer term (at least 1 school year commitment is needed).
