Mandarin Bilingual Front Desk Assistant

About Us

iLearn Education is a growing academic enrichment center serving students in Grades 1–12. We are looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable Front Desk Assistant to support our daily operations, communicate with students and families, and provide basic academic support when needed.

This position may begin on a part-time basis, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role based on performance, availability, program needs, and mutual fit.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome students and parents and assist with daily check-in and check-out.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to general inquiries, and provide families with information about iLearn programs and schedules.
  • Assist with scheduling, attendance, student records, and other front desk operations.
  • Communicate professionally with parents regarding scheduling, student needs, and general program information.
  • Administer English placement assessments for prospective and current students, primarily at the elementary and middle school levels, with occasional high school students.
  • Review placement results and communicate relevant information to the academic team to support appropriate class placement.
  • Observe classrooms when needed and provide general student updates to parents when appropriate.
  • Coordinate with teachers and management regarding student needs, classroom schedules, and daily operations.
  • Prepare classroom materials and assist with administrative and academic support tasks.
  • Help maintain an organized, professional, and welcoming learning environment.

Qualifications

  • Friendly, responsible, dependable, and professional.
  • Strong English communication and academic skills, with the ability to comfortably administer English placement assessments for school-age students.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills when working with both parents and students.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a busy educational environment.
  • Comfortable using Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and other basic administrative systems.
  • Experience working with children, families, education programs, tutoring centers, or customer service is preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Mandarin is preferred but not required.
