Art Instructor — Part-Time / Flexible
Creative Art & Design is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Art Instructor to teach engaging arts and crafts classes for children, teens, and individuals with diverse learning needs.
This is a flexible opportunity for an artist or art educator who enjoys teaching, encouraging creativity, and helping students build confidence through hands-on art experiences.
Position Details
- Job Type: Part-time / Flexible
- Location: Central New Jersey and Online

Pay:
- $40/hour — In-Person Classes
- $20/hour — Online Classes
- Flexible weekday, after-school, evening, and/or weekend opportunities may be available.
What You'll Do
- Teach engaging, age-appropriate arts and crafts classes
- Guide students through painting, drawing, mixed media, crafts, and other creative projects
- Adapt projects based on students' interests, abilities, and skill levels
- Create a positive, patient, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment
- Help students develop creativity, confidence, artistic skills, and independence
- Prepare and organize projects and lesson activities
- Communicate professionally with students, families, and program coordinators
What We're Looking For
- Experience teaching art, arts and crafts, or other creative programs
- Strong art and craft skills
- Patient, dependable, positive, and comfortable working with different age groups and abilities
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to independently lead engaging art activities
- Reliable transportation for in-person classes in Central New Jersey
Experience working with individuals with special needs or developmental disabilities is a plus, but not required.
Students, recent graduates, teaching artists, art educators, and candidates with backgrounds in Fine Arts, Art Education, Design, Illustration, Crafts, or related creative fields are encouraged to apply.
