Toddler Aide
Position Summary
We are seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Toddler Aide to support our toddler classroom and teaching team. The Toddler Aide will help provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where young children can learn, play, and develop social, emotional, and physical skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom activities and routines.
- Supervise toddlers closely to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Provide warm, responsive care and support children's individual needs.
- Help with diapering, toileting, handwashing, meals, snacks, and nap routines.
- Assist with age-appropriate learning activities, crafts, music, movement, and play.
- Encourage positive social interactions and help children develop independence.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Sanitize toys, equipment, tables, and other classroom areas as needed.
- Communicate with the lead teacher regarding children's needs, behaviors, and progress.
- Follow all center policies, health and safety procedures, and licensing requirements.
- Build positive and professional relationships with children, families, and staff.
- Perform other classroom duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with toddlers or young children preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Patient, nurturing, dependable, and enthusiastic personality.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to safely lift and carry young children when needed.
- Must meet all applicable childcare licensing and background-check requirements
