Milestones Academy is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced 4th/5th Elementary Classroom Teacher to join our team in Jacksonville, NC.

We offer small class sizes, a supportive team, and a collaborative school environment where teachers are encouraged to be creative, build meaningful relationships with students, and make learning FUN!

The classroom teacher will design and deliver standards-based lessons that hold kids' attention - Run a structured, positive classroom where students know what to expect - Meet students where they are — differentiated instruction isn't just a buzzword here - Track progress, identify who needs more support, and celebrate wins along the way - Stay in regular contact with families — not just when there's a problem - Work alongside other teachers, support staff, and admin to coordinate and improve - Hold the line on both academic and behavioral expectations, consistently - Help kids actually enjoy being at school

Requirements

- Teaching experience at the elementary level (4th or 5th grade preferred) - Strong classroom management —  Ability to differentiate instruction across a range of learners - Clear, professional communication with families and colleagues - Genuine care for children and their development

Nice to have

- Familiarity with North Carolina state standards - Experience in smaller or private school settings - A track record of creative, project-based or inquiry-driven lessons
