πŸ’» Turn Ideas Into Websites

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Website Development Instructor to introduce high school students to the fundamentals of building websites using HTML and CSS.

Students will learn how websites are structured, styled, and brought to life while working on hands-on projects they can actually see and interact with. You’ll help them go from writing their first lines of code to creating their own web pages.

You don't need to be a professional software developer or experienced teacher. If you have a solid foundation in HTML/CSS, enjoy building websites, and can explain technical concepts in a clear and approachable way, you may be a great fit.

Curriculum guidance and instructional materials are provided, giving you a structured foundation while leaving room for your own teaching style and creativity.

🎯 What You'll Do

  • Lead engaging, hands-on Website Development sessions
  • Teach the fundamentals of HTML and CSS
  • Explain how websites are structured, styled, and organized
  • Guide students through building web pages and small projects
  • Introduce concepts such as HTML elements, page structure, CSS styling, layouts, colors, typography, and responsive design
  • Break down technical concepts into clear, easy-to-understand steps
  • Help students troubleshoot code and understand how to fix common issues
  • Encourage students to experiment with their own designs and ideas
  • Help students develop problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Adapt instruction to different skill levels and learning styles
  • Provide constructive feedback and celebrate student progress
  • Create a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative classroom environment
  • Maintain an organized and productive learning space
  • Communicate professionally with program coordinators and school staff
  • Arrive prepared, dependable, and ready to teach

🌟 What We're Looking For

You don't need to be a professional software engineer or traditional teacher. We're looking for someone who understands HTML/CSS and can make web development approachable, creative, and interesting for high school students.

You may be a great fit if you have:

  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Experience building websites or web projects
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and patiently
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • A genuine interest in technology, web development, or design
  • Comfort leading and engaging groups of teenagers
  • An encouraging and approachable personality
  • Reliability, professionalism, and a positive attitude
  • Willingness to follow provided curriculum while bringing your own creativity

Teaching experience is a plus, but not required. Experience in web development, coding, tutoring, mentoring, camps, STEM programs, or education is helpful.

Web developers, designers, computer science students, coding students, college students, recent graduates, aspiring educators, and technology enthusiasts are all encouraged to apply.
