💰 Make Financial Literacy Practical

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Financial Literacy Instructor to help high school students develop practical money skills they can use in everyday life.

You’ll introduce students to topics such as budgeting, saving, spending, banking, credit, financial decision-making, and basic personal finance through interactive activities, real-world scenarios, discussions, and hands-on exercises.

The goal isn't simply to teach financial concepts. It's to help students feel more confident making smart financial decisions.

You don't need to be a financial advisor, accountant, or experienced teacher. If you have a strong understanding of personal finance, enjoy working with teenagers, and can explain financial concepts in a clear and relatable way, you may be a great fit.

Curriculum guidance and instructional materials are provided, giving you a structured foundation while allowing you to bring your own examples, personality, and teaching style to the classroom.

🎯 What You'll Do

  • Lead engaging, practical Financial Literacy sessions for high school students
  • Introduce students to budgeting, saving, spending, banking, credit, and personal finance
  • Use real-world examples and scenarios to make financial concepts relatable
  • Help students understand how everyday financial decisions can affect their future
  • Guide students through budgeting exercises, financial challenges, and decision-making activities
  • Explain concepts clearly without relying on complicated financial terminology
  • Encourage students to ask questions and think critically about financial choices
  • Discuss age-appropriate topics such as needs vs. wants, income, expenses, saving, and responsible borrowing
  • Help students develop practical financial habits and confidence
  • Adapt activities to different levels of knowledge and learning styles
  • Create an inclusive, supportive, and judgment-free classroom environment
  • Provide constructive feedback and celebrate student progress
  • Maintain an organized and positive learning environment
  • Communicate professionally with program coordinators and school staff
  • Arrive prepared, dependable, and ready to make financial literacy engaging

🌟 What We're Looking For

You don't need to be a financial professional or traditional teacher. We're looking for someone who understands personal finance and can make it approachable and relevant to teenagers.

You may be a great fit if you have:

  • A strong understanding of personal finance and financial literacy
  • Knowledge of budgeting, saving, credit, banking, or financial planning
  • The ability to explain financial concepts clearly and simply
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, enthusiasm, and an encouraging personality
  • Comfort leading and engaging groups of high school students
  • An interest in helping young people develop real-world skills
  • Reliability, professionalism, and a positive attitude
  • Willingness to follow provided curriculum while bringing your own real-world examples and perspective

Teaching experience is a plus, but not required. Experience in finance, banking, accounting, business, economics, financial education, tutoring, mentoring, camps, or youth programs is helpful.

Finance professionals, accountants, bankers, business professionals, economics students, business students, college students, recent graduates, aspiring educators, and personal finance enthusiasts are all encouraged to apply.

💡 Why You'll Love This Role

  • Competitive Pay: Earn $25–$40/hour, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Curriculum Support: Get teaching materials and guidance, so you don't have to build lessons from scratch.
  • Real-World Impact: Help students develop financial skills they can use throughout their lives.
  • Practical Teaching: Use scenarios, activities, discussions, and exercises instead of relying on lecture-style instruction.
  • Build Valuable Experience: Develop skills in teaching, communication, classroom leadership, and youth development.
  • Share Your Knowledge: Turn your real-world financial experience into lessons that can genuinely help young people.

💰 This Role Could Be a Great Fit If You Are
