Experience Christian Church is seeking a college student who is exploring a calling to pastoral ministry and wants to gain meaningful, hands-on experience in the local church.
This internship provides an opportunity to learn directly from experienced pastoral leaders while developing skills in preaching, pastoral care, discipleship, leadership, and ministry. The goal is to invest in students who are exploring God's calling on their lives and help prepare them for future ministry opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparing and delivering communion meditations.
- Participate in Sunday morning worship services.
- Support church outreach and discipleship efforts.
- Work alongside the pastoral team in ministry and leadership activities.
- Participate in mentoring and ministry development opportunities.
- Build relationships with members of the church community.
- Assist with ministry planning and other pastoral responsibilities as appropriate.
- Have opportunities to preach a sermon or lead part of a service based on experience and readiness.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Growing relationship with Jesus and a desire to serve the local church.
- Clear or developing sense of calling toward pastoral ministry.
- Strong communication and relational skills.
- Eager to learn from experienced ministry leaders.
- Humble, dependable, and receptive to feedback.
- Interest in ministry, theology, Bible, pastoral studies, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to work well with people and as part of a ministry team.
Schedule: Sunday morning availability required, with additional hours during the week depending on ministry opportunities and the student's schedule.
