Lakeside Music Academy is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Voice Instructor to join our growing team! We provide high-quality, personalized in-home music lessons and are looking for a reliable instructor who is passionate about helping students of all ages develop their voices and confidence.

About the Position

As a Voice Instructor with Lakeside Music Academy, you will teach private, one-on-one voice lessons to students in their homes. Students may range from young children to adults and may have varying experience levels, from complete beginners to more advanced singers.

You will have the flexibility to build your teaching schedule based on your availability and preferred teaching area.

Responsibilities

• Teach engaging, personalized private voice lessons
• Develop lesson plans based on each student's age, goals, experience, and musical interests
• Teach healthy vocal technique, breathing, pitch, tone, ear training, repertoire, and performance skills
• Work with students in a variety of musical styles, when applicable
• Travel to students' homes within your selected service area
• Communicate professionally and reliably with students, families, and Lakeside Music Academy staff
• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date teaching schedule
• Encourage students and help create a positive, supportive learning environment

Qualifications

• Degree in Music, Vocal Performance, Music Education, Musical Theatre, or a related field preferred
• Current enrollment in a relevant music degree program will also be considered
• Previous experience teaching voice lessons is preferred
• Strong vocal performance and technical knowledge
• Experience working with children and/or adults
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to students' homes
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Dependable, professional, and enthusiastic
• Ability to pass a background check
