Job description
The Student Intern Engineering is responsible for supporting the activities of the Engineers. This role is a “hands-on” application based on engineering activities for component development of new and existing products. This role will be supporting and reporting directly and indirectly to the Systems Applicaiton Engineers in a wide ranges of activities.
Responsibilities:
• The Intern will be given the responsibility of completing meaningful direct and indirect assignments, to provide hands-on experience and the opportunity to make a profound impact.
• Miscellaneous technical data generation and analysis
• Assembly/build of Components, Electronic Control Modules (ECU’s), Testing Boards, Test Equipment, etc.
• Support the Installation of Parts and Equipment in Vehicles and Test Benches.
• Support the Build of prototype parts (assembly, reworking, painting, function testing, etc.).
• Support the Testing and Diagnosis of Parts (signals measuring, data collection, etc.)
• Support the Programing and Re-flashing of modules.
• Additional indirect support tasks will be required (general office, support logistics of shipments, etc.)
Qualifications:
• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must have experience using Microsoft Office and general computer applications and equipment.
• Ability to provide thorough attention to detail.
• Strong foundation in the basic principles of engineering, as demonstrated in course work and/or extra-curricular activities.
• Dependable self-learner, self-starter, able to work with limited supervision.
• Experience with coding/programing is a plus.
• Experience with extracurricular activities is preferred. Clubs, Committees, Volunteering, will be considered.
