A Cyber Security Analyst plans, coordinates, and guides cybersecurity activities in prevention, governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) as well as audit, monitor, privacy and business continuity activities in the context of cybersecurity; identifies risks for business and technology projects related to Information Technology (IT) and Operations Technology (OT) hardware or software implementations and upgrades; may act as a head worker. An employee in this class will be required to follow all safety policies, standards, guidelines, procedures and processes.

 

REQUIREMENT(S)/MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S)

 

  1. Graduation from a recognized four-year college or university with a major in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence or a related degree; and
  2. Two years of full-time paid experience as a Systems Programmer or in a class at that level performing systems or network administration, technical examination, assessment, design and recommendation of enterprise system and application security; or
  3. Four years of full-time paid experience in a class at the level of a Systems Analyst performing cost benefit and feasibility studies related to the modification of existing computer-based information systems, the maintenance and support of information systems, or the implementation of new computer-based systems.
