YouTube Video Editor
Organization: igorontheG0
Location: Remote
Position Type: Paid freelance/part-time contract
Schedule: Project-based, approximately 2–4 videos per month
Compensation: Approximately $100–$200 per standard completed video
Start Date: As soon as a suitable candidate is selected
About the Opportunity
igorontheG0 is a growing travel and adventure YouTube channel featuring travel, outdoor activities, camping, nightlife, music events, festivals, unusual experiences, and personality-driven storytelling.
We are seeking a student, recent graduate, or early-career video editor who wants consistent paid experience and the opportunity to help develop a recognizable YouTube editing style.
This position is designed for someone who already understands the basics of editing but is still building professional experience. Extensive agency or commercial experience is not required. School projects, personal projects, YouTube videos, short films, and other portfolio work are welcome.
Responsibilities
The editor will:
- Review and organize provided video footage
- Identify the strongest, funniest, and most important moments
- Create approximately 10–15-minute finished YouTube videos
- Improve pacing and overall storytelling
- Perform basic audio cleanup and volume balancing
- Perform basic color correction
- Add music, sound effects, titles, captions, and simple graphics where appropriate
- Follow provided editing notes and reference videos
- Submit first drafts by agreed-upon deadlines
- Complete one or two reasonable rounds of revisions
- Communicate early if questions or scheduling issues arise
Expected Workload and Deadlines
The expected workload is approximately 2–4 videos per month.
For a standard project, the first draft will normally be expected within 5–7 calendar days after the editor receives the footage, project notes, and necessary assets. The final deadline will be agreed upon before each project begins.
Raw footage length and complexity will vary. Larger projects, rush assignments, extensive motion graphics, or unusually complicated edits will be discussed and priced separately before work begins.
Compensation
The starting budget is approximately $100–$200 per standard completed video, depending on:
- The amount and organization of the raw footage
- The expected finished length
- The complexity of the edit
- The required graphics, captions, or effects
- The agreed-upon deadline
Selected applicants may first complete a paid 60–90-second editing test. No unpaid editing test will be required.
There is potential for increased rates, more consistent assignments, and additional creative responsibility as the editor demonstrates reliability, improves their skills, and becomes familiar with the channel.

- Basic experience with video editing software
- An understanding of pacing and visual storytelling
- The ability to follow creative direction
- Reliable communication
- The ability to meet agreed-upon deadlines
