The Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health is looking for an experienced Data Scientist Supervisor to lead talented data professionals, tackle complex challenges, and turn data into insights that help the County make better decisions.
What You’ll Do
As a Data Scientist Supervisor, you’ll lead data science initiatives from idea to implementation and work with technology teams, executives, and program leaders to:
Lead and mentor data scientists and analysts on complex, high-impact projects.
Use machine learning, advanced analytics, and statistical methods to solve real-world problems.
Turn complex data into clear insights, dashboards, visualizations, and recommendations.
Help shape the County’s data and analytics strategy.
Work with large-scale datasets and data engineering teams to ensure data is accurate, reliable, and useful.
Identify opportunities to introduce new technologies, tools, and approaches.
Help departments build data into the way they plan, operate, and measure success.
Develop people and capabilities so the County stays on the leading edge of data science.
Requirements to Qualify
You’ll need two years of experience leading the development and application of advanced data science methods—including statistical prediction, inference, optimization, and data analysis.
