Assistant Journalist Marketing Intern

Job Title: Assistant Journalist Marketing Intern

Job Descriptions:

  • Assist in crafting clear, structured interview questions aligned with project goals and Resilience Inc.’s SEL-focused mission.

     
  • Coordinate outreach, scheduling, and logistics for interviews with participants, educators, parents, and subject-matter experts.

     
  • Participate in interviews by taking notes, asking approved questions, and supporting smooth facilitation.

     
  • Ensure ethical oversight by following consent, confidentiality, and responsible documentation practices—especially when working with youth- and family-centered topics.

     
  • Research emotional intelligence and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) to strengthen interview design and reporting accuracy.

     
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and experts to ensure content reflects evidence-based SEL principles (e.g., CASEL-aligned concepts).

     
  • Collect, organize, and analyze interview responses to synthesize themes, insights, and practical takeaways for K–12 students, families, and educators.

     
  • Contribute to reporting by summarizing findings for internal review and helping translate insights into accessible, action-oriented messaging.

     
  • Draft blog posts and article content that supports Resilience Inc.’s goal of elevating emotional health alongside academics and strengthening resilience skills.

     
  • Maintain organized documentation and confidential records in accordance with organizational policies and nonprofit standards.

     

Requirements:

  • Alignment with Resilience Inc.’s mission and values, including commitment to supporting youth and families through resiliency skill-building and emotional health awareness.

     
  • Interest in social impact work, education, youth development, psychology, emotional intelligence, or SEL.

     
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Psychology, Education, Public Relations, or a related field.

     
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to draft clear, engaging, and mission-aligned content.

     
  • Comfortable conducting interviews and asking thoughtful follow-up questions with professionalism and empathy.

     
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage scheduling, notes, and documentation accurately.

     
  • Ability to synthesize qualitative information into themes, insights, and concise summaries.

     
  • High attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality and ethical handling of information.

     
  • Able to work independently in a remote environment and meet deadlines.

     
  • Able to collaborate with a team and attend remote weekly meetings.

     
  • Reliable, punctual, and responsive in communication.
