2027 Business Development Operations Summer Analyst

The team you’ll join

The Business Development (“BD”) team helps grow StepStone’s business by building relationships with current and prospective investors around the world. Working closely with teams across the firm, Business Development supports fundraising efforts, prepares client presentations and marketing materials, analyzes market trends, and helps communicate StepStone’s investment strategies and capabilities. This team offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to private markets, client engagement, sales strategy, and the business side of the investment industry.

Position Overview

This role supports StepStone’s local BD efforts by helping client-facing sales professionals. The BD Analyst/Intern will also support the Global BD team on an ad-hoc basis under the direction of the head of sales operations.

What you’ll do

  • Update and maintain data in the firm’s CRM system (Salesforce) on behalf of and in conjunction with the BD team
  • Produce various standardized or ad-hoc business development reports
  • Liaise with the firm’s Marketing and Communications Team in coordinating the logistics for conferences or events
  • Assist the local BD with scheduling meetings and maintain calendars as needed
  • Provide general support for the Global BD Team
  • Work on ad-hoc BD related projects

What we’re looking for

  • Undergraduate student graduating anywhere from December 2027 through June 2028
  • Must be able to work legally in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future 
  • GPA of 3.2 or above
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn new concepts and apply them 
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to be self-starter who can work independently

Salary: $30 / hour

The salary is an estimate of pay for this position.  Actual pay may vary depending on job-related factors that can include location, education, skill, and experience.  The salary does not include any benefits or other forms of possible compensation that may be available to employees.
