Gibney, Anthony & Flaherty, LLP is a mid-size multi-practice law firm in midtown Manhattan (www.gibney.com).

Gibney’s Intellectual Property department seeks students to conduct internet research related to luxury goods, licensed goods and consumer products companies. The position is heavily computer-based with emphasis on Excel and Word. Responsibilities include monitoring sales sites and social media platforms in creative ways to protect clients’ trademarks and copyrights. Savvy internet, social media and computer users are preferred. 

Job Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must have excellent internet, research and analytical skills with strong attention to detail. Additionally, candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Database entry/maintenance and online shopping experience are ideal. Candidates are expected to work at least three days per week during normal business hours for 3-4 hour shifts (minimum of 12 hours a week). This is a hybrid position therefore half of the shifts would be in person, and the other half remote. A one year verbal commitment and summer housing in proximity to the office is required.
