Judicial Fellowship Program
Expand access to justice in California by serving in a superior court or the Judicial Council, and contributing directly to court administration through policy and budget analysis, project management, and administrative operations!
The Judicial Fellowship Program is statewide, prior placement opportunities include:
- Superior Court of California, County of Alameda
- Superior Court of California, County of Placer
- Superior Court of California, County of San Bernardino
- Judicial Council of California, Office of Governmental Affairs
DETIALS
One of four nationally recognized Capital Fellows Programs, The Judicial Fellowship Program is an experiential learning opportunity within court administration. The program emphasizes professional growth through mentorship and hands-on experience, launching Fellows into public service careers.
LOCATION and PAY
- Full-time
- $4,888/month and health, vision, and dental benefits
- Location varies as Judicial Fellows are placed statewide (*applicant location preferences considered)
ELIGIBILITY
- Be at least 20 years of age by September 1 of the fellowship year
- Bachelor’s degree by September 1 of the fellowship year and
either a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.5 or higher or a GPA of 2.5 or
higher in the last 60 (semester) or 90 (quarter) units - Demonstrated interest in state government and public policy
- Authorized to work in the United States for the duration of the
fellowship program

Deadline: Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST).
Applicants must submit the following:

- Statement of Interest
- Policy Statement
- Resume
- College transcript(s)
- A list of three individuals who will write letters of recommendation
Recommenders must submit letters of recommendation by the deadline of Tuesday, November 17, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST)
