What You’ll Do:
- Promote a strong workplace safety culture and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
- Provide safety training on topics such as CPR, confined spaces, forklifts, and high-lift forklifts.
- Conduct facility and worksite inspections to identify and address potential safety hazards.
- Investigate workplace injuries, perform ergonomic assessments, and support compliance with Cal/OSHA requirements.
Requirements:
- Option A: A Bachelor of Science degree in Safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a closely related field, plus three years of related experience.
- Option B: Five years of experience in Safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a closely related program within a large department.
- Option C: One year of experience leading a comprehensive occupational safety and accident prevention program in a department.
A Master’s degree in Safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a closely related field may substitute for one year of the required experience.
