Children's Music Teacher

Teach Music to Kids Ages 3–10 — Weekend Mornings, Berkeley
Crowden Music Center, an established Berkeley nonprofit music school, is looking for a current or recently graduated music major to teach Saturday or Sunday mornings starting this September.

You'll be teaching Harmony Road, a class for kids and their parents that builds music fundamentals — rhythm, pitch, ear training, and keyboard skills. Every lesson plan is provided by the Harmony Road Program, so prep time is minimal, and Crowden provides full curriculum and training for the right candidate.
 

Pay: $87/hr for all teaching time. Training is paid at an administrative rate of $20/hr.
What we're looking for:
● Working towards or have completed a BM or BA in Music
● Solid keyboard skills — no virtuoso required. If you did well in an undergrad piano proficiency, you're likely in good shape
● Ability to hold a melody vocally
