Multimedia Production Intern

Department Description

The Digital Learning and Innovation Department at the Paul Merage School of Business is looking for a motivated and creative student to join our team as a Multimedia Production Intern. In this part-time role, you will play a hands-on part in supporting the development of online and hybrid courses by producing and editing high-quality video content, assisting with studio production, and contributing to the overall design of digital learning experiences.

 

Position Summary

  • Edit video content for online and hybrid courses using tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, including green screen compositing
  • Assist with setting up lighting and filming faculty in a green screen studio
  • Log, organize, and manage video assets
  • Design graphics and visual elements using Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Premiere Pro
  • Communicate professionally with faculty during filming sessions and post-production
  • Build interactive lecture videos using in-video quizzing tools and custom slide layouts
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on course videos
  • Manage closed captions, transcripts, and audio descriptions to support course accessibility
  • Reconcile video edit requests from instructors for existing courses
  • Provide general office support as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Some experience or familiarity with video production
  • Genuine interest in video editing and digital course design
  • Proficiency or experience with advanced video editing software
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
  • Good organizational and time management skills; able to meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated and able to take ownership of projects independently
  • Patient and persistent when troubleshooting problems
  • Comfortable with repetitive or detail-oriented tasks
  • Working knowledge of Mac OS
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge of Google Apps (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive)
  • Working knowledge of professional video editing software
  • Eager to learn new software and tools quickly
  • Able to build and maintain professional relationships with staff, faculty, and fellow students

Preferred Skills (Not Required)

  • Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
  • Familiarity with the full Adobe Creative Cloud suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Hands-on experience with camera work and studio or location lighting
  • Beginner knowledge of HeyGen, Vimeo, Panopto, YouTube, or Camtasia Studio
  • Beginner knowledge of project management tools like Asana
  • Beginner knowledge of communication tools like Slack or Microsoft Teams

  • Open to Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors
  • US work authorization required (OPT/CPT candidates welcome)
  • No specific major or GPA requirement
